Rolling Pepperoni has made a few moves since the business began about two years ago…

In 2015, Katt Schuler started baking rolls at Papa D’s kitchen in Oakland, and she welcomed her first customers at bake sales in her driveway. Rolling Pepperoni was introduced at local farmer’s markets and businesses in 2016, and the kitchen moved to Holy Spirit Parish in Millvale. After a short stint at La Dorita in Sharpsburg, RP is making its new home in Lawrenceville.

Schuler is thrilled to join the Lawrenceville community! The new space, shared with Piebird, another woman owned business, allows RP to increase its production and efficiency. Many positive changes, such as scheduling flexibility, better equipment, and an organized set-up, ensure that business rolls right along.

On day one in the new kitchen, RP’s two-person crew got straight to it: slicing the meat, rolling the dough, and stuffing each roll with wholesome ingredients. By the end of the day, dozens of rolls--from the classic Hometown, to the spicy Hot Trot, and the vegan Out & Back--were ready for wholesale clients, online orders, and farmer’s markets.

Although farmer’s market season is winding down, Rolling Pepperoni rolls are available at several local retail stores:
